About
Server Time helps you check server time accurately for time-sensitive moments like ticket reservations and course registration.
How does it work?
1Fetch Server Time
We send a request to the server and retrieve the Date value from the HTTP response header.
2RTT Compensation
We compensate for half of the network latency (RTT) to calculate a more accurate server time.
3Precision Measurement
We take multiple samples, remove outliers, and use the median value for higher accuracy.
What is RTT?
RTT (Round Trip Time) is the time it takes to send a request and receive a response. Since the server's Date header is the time when the response was generated, we add RTT/2 to estimate the current server time.
